Week-1

Feb 2-3 (Sat-Sun) Tyee Open - Host Only

Tyee will be open from 3 PM Saturday until mid-morning Sunday. I am hosting a night snowshoe the night of Feb 3. I expect to arrive at Tyee Lodge by 3 PM that day. We will be just coming off a full moon so hopefully we have a clear sky for a night snowshoe.

Week-2

Feb 7 (Wed) Morning Hike – Class A/B

We begin our hike at 9:30 am and hike 4 to 6 miles, for 2 to 4 hours, somewhere in the Portland metropolitan area, often in Forest Park.
This week's hike will depart at 9:30 AM from at Friendly House at NW Thurman and 26th. Hike will likely go up Leif Erickson and back.

Feb 7 (Wed) Burnt Bridge Trail through Vancouver Greenway – Class A

Feb. 7th (Wed): Burnt Bridge Trail through Vancouver Greenway. hike is 8 miles Class A Hike. This section of hard-surfaced, shared-use trail follows the Bonneville Power Administration's power line. We will start in Meadow Homes Park and hike west to Fruit Valley Road. Bring lunch, water, warm layers, rain gear, gloves and hat. Wear comfortable shoes.
Meet at 8:30 AM. If you want your car at the other end of the hike show up at 7:45 and we will do a quick car shuttle. Cost is $5.00 car shuttle, and $1.00 member fee/$2.00 guest fee.
Directions:Drive I-5 north to Exit 2 for 39th Street and keep right 0.2 miles after exiting the freeway, following signs for Highway 500E. Drive 2.7 miles, joining Highway 500E going east. Take the NE Andresen Road exit. Reach Andresen Road and turn right. Drive 0.5 miles, and turn left onto NE 25th Street. Drive 0.1 miles and continue onto NE Burton Road. Go 0.8 miles, and turn right onto NE 90th Avenue. After 0.2 miles, continue straight onto NE 92nd Avenue. Go 0.1 miles and turn right onto NE 19th Circle. Drive to the cul de sac and park in the circle.

Feb 9-11 (Fri-Sun) Tyee Open

Tyee will be open from Friday night for early arrivals but please plan on bringing your own breakfast for Saturday morning.
We will be hosting a small group of Adult (18+) scouts from the Baden Powell Service Association. There will be a snowshoe (or hike based on snow levels) outing after lunch on Saturday.
There will be a hosted Saturday lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast.

Feb 14 (Wed) Morning Hike – Class A

We begin our hike at 9:30 am and hike 4 to 6 miles, for 2 to 4 hours, somewhere in the Portland metropolitan area, often in Forest Park.
This week's hike will depart at 9:30 AM from at Friendly House at NW Thurman and 26th. Hike will likely go down to the bridges, across the river and back.

Feb 16-19 (Fri-Mon) Tyee Kids Free Weekend

Come join us for the 4th annual Tyee Free Kids weekend. Adults pay the normal lodge fee. Kids are free. Food is Pot Luck to keep costs down. Bring what you would bring for your family and plan on sharing with others. This is a lot of fun. There will be planned activities and out door sledding along with some snow shoe trips up West Leg Road. Possibly some night hikes. The lodge will be open Friday the 16th through Monday the 19th as this is President's weekend. Glen and Linda Conrad will open the lodge on Friday and host through Sunday. Cheryl Wagner will host Sunday through Monday. Dorms will be COED to meet the needs of special children. Bring sleeping bags, warm clothes for the snow, food and snow shoes or X-country skis.
Normal lodge fees apply for adults: $15.00 for each member and $25.00 for guests (per night).

Feb 21 (Wed) Morning Hike – Class A/B

We begin our hike at 9:30 am and hike 4 to 6 miles, for 2 to 4 hours, somewhere in the Portland metropolitan area, often in Forest Park.
This week we begin our hike at 9:30 AM at Sellwood Riverfront Park, SE Oaks Park Way & SE Spokane St, Portland, OR 97202. This is the Sellwood park down by the river.

Feb 23-25 (Fri-Sun) Tyee Open

Hop on your snowboard, skis, snowshoes or sled and enjoy a great time in our winter wonderland! Enjoy the toasty fire and cozy living room when your done. And don’t forget game time! We have every kind you can imagine along with puzzles. The lodge will be open Friday at 1:00 PM until noon on Sunday. Families are welcome, of course. Dinners and breakfasts will be served with some gluten free foods.lunches and snacks are on your own. Hosts are Diane Brooke and Mike Haasken.

Feb 25 (Sun) TCO Hike Group Meet & Greet

Come see old friends and make some new ones. Take the first step towards emerging from winter hibernation and into hiking mode. Spring is coming! We will discuss hike leader requirements and give you the opportunity to sign up to attend or lead hikes.

This week's hike will begin at the Old Spaghetti Factory at 0715 SW Bancroft St Portland, OR 97239. Please park in the parking lot away from the restaurant between the white lines (the yellow lines are reserved parking). Please arrive ready to depart at 9:30 AM..
