Annual Triple Crown Solstice Hike

This 9 mile conditioning hike takes us from Wallace Park to Council Crest, on to the Hoyt Arboretum, and up to the Pittock Mansion before returning to the park as the sun sets on the longest day of the year (almost). We start at 6 PM sharp and hike at about 3 miles/hour until 9 PM-ish. Elevation gain is about 1800 ft. Come only if you are fit enough for this quick paced, long walk with some steep uphills. Please carry water, a flashlight or headlamp and dress for changeable weather. Arrive early to find parking and sign in. Check website calendar for a possible cancellation.
Meet: Wallace Park between NW 25th and 26th on Raleigh.
Cost: Free for Trails Club members; $2 non-members.
