Carver Gap: NC to Fox Creek Virginia: 131 miles

May 10th to 24th

This is said to be the most beautiful section of the Appalachian trail. We will be high on Balds a lot of the trail with great spring flowers and views in green tunnel.. We will fly from Portland to Asheville NC ON THE 10TH AND home on May 24th. A motel room will be needed the night before we fly home. I will try to set up at least one hostel. Average mile per day 12. We will pay a shuttle driver to pick us up at airport and return us to airport on those dates. Cost is approximately $1.75 per mile divided among participants.. Max.. number is 4 . Pack weight max is 30 pounds. He will resupply us once or twice and has been known to take us off trail as needed for injury or need. You will not be on final list till you have attained your airline ticket and sent information to me. . Three airlines go to Asheville; American, United, and Delta.
