Bayocean Spit Tillamook

This is 4 miles hike along Tillamook Bay and another 4 miles on the beach.

Bayocean, “the town that fell into the sea,” with a hotel, a bowling alley, a neighborhood of homes 2000 residents and even a small railroad. Over time the ocean slowly consumed the town. By 1960 the town was abandoned. But the hike here is better than ever🙂

Distance: 8 miles (or less)
Elevation gain: 100 feet
Dogs: dogs on a leash

Please bring: sunscreen, sun hat, enough water and lunch
