Death Valley week long day hiking
We will travel down to Furnace Creek campground in the town of Furnace Creek on February 20th, checking in to the campground on the 21st. It is best to YouTube campsites and get site as soon as possible. The best sites with shade go fast. We will be planning daily day hikes and drives. Dress for cold. Bring sun cream. Bring sun shade or pop up. We have also found that it is good to bring extras like pop up shower. Good hiking shoes necessary. Rain gear necessary along with day pack to include first aid kit, cold and warm gear, with sun hat. Furnace Creek campsite has toilets and it is close to the town for groceries. If you need transportation try to coordinate with another participant. It takes about a day and a half to travel. This time of year it can snow on trip down and in Death Valley. Ensure you have snow tires or chains. For more information you can call Linda Conrad or Text at 360-907-5096
