Hike (or Backpack) to Nesika Lodge & Ornament Trail
Please join us for a beautiful forest hike to Nesika Lodge with a stop at the Ornament Trail. This is one of my favorite hikes! We will spend some time at Nesika Lodge to eat lunch, check out the lodge, visit the viewpoint and relax before returning to Multnomah Falls.
A parking pass and/or timed entry ticket is NOT required before 9:00AM at the Multnomah Falls I-84 parking lot. Please plan to arrive and park by 8:00am, as it takes time to park and walk over to the meeting spot.
Meetup Time: 8:15 sharp
Where: In front of Multnomah Falls Lodge Gift Shop/Restrooms
Distance: 7-8 miles
Elevation gain: 1500-1800 ft
Parking pass/Permit: None before 9:00am
Difficulty Level: Class B hike, moderate to difficult
Feel free to bring a sturdy holiday ornament to hang at the Ornament Trail! Please no fragile or glass ornaments, as they break easily. Natural materials such as wood tend to work best.
Please bring your own lunch and trekking poles if you use them.
As always, bring the 10 essentials, food and water, be prepared for rainy weather at any time and practice leave no trace.

This hike is considered a Trails Club of Oregon Membership hike if you wish to join Trails Club of Oregon as a member. Membership is completely optional for this hike!

Optional Backpack: If you wish to backpack in with us and stay the night at Nesika Lodge, please let me know so that I can reserve a space for you. We have a large one room co-ed dorm, or you are welcome to pitch your own tent. I will hike back down with any backpackers Sunday morning. Overnight lodge fees are $18 for members and $30 for non-members.
