Leave No Trace Hike up to Nesika

Greetings -A group of somewhat relaxed pace hikers plan to meet in front of the bathrooms at Multnomah Falls Lodge and hike up to Nesika Lodge. This is a day hike for me, but others planning to stay overnight at Nesika are certainly welcome to join us!

This hike is available to TCO members (free) and TCO non-members for a $2 fee.

This hike is also considered a TCO membership hike.

Meetup: In front of Multnomah Lodge bathrooms

When: 8 am sharp is when we shall start hiking up, please arrive a little early to sign in.

Pass: No pass needed if parking in the I84 highway parking lot (DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN CAR, particularly if you are staying overnight)

Distance: 8 miles

Ascent: 1700 ft ascent

Difficulty Level: Class B Hike- moderate

Pet Policy: Pets are welcome on this day hike, but we ask that pets stay outside Nesika lodge.

Please wear hiking boots, suitable socks and rain gear. Hiking poles recommended. Please bring microspikes.

We will stop and dry out inside Nesika Lodge mid-day to eat our lunch. There is fresh water at the lodge. Please bring your own lunch and enjoy a tour of Nesika Lodge, which will be open. We may play one interactive Leave No Trace game while at the lodge and will practice Leave No Trace Principles while we hike.
