Nesika Volunteer Weekend CANCELED

SORRY FOLKS, THE MULTNOMAH CREEK BRIDGE HAS BEEN DEEMED UNSAFE FOR VEHICLES, ALL NESIKA WORK TRIPS ARE CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Calling all volunteers! Come join our crew to prep the lodge for winter. No membership required. Our lodge needs help with:

• Trail Clearing (hand tools available, bring chain saw and brush cutters if possible).
• Wood cutting, splitting and stacking.
• Painting.
• Kitchen help (experience at Nesika helpful but not necessary)

Bring work gloves, sturdy boots and weather appropriate gear.
Or, just come and enjoy the scenery with good company and hike the nearby trails (day and overnight fees apply).

We will meet at the forestry gate on Larch Mountain Road (see Google Maps lat/long below), milepost 10 (from Corbett, drive 2 miles east on Route 30, take the right fork up Larch Mountain Road, go 10 miles and park at the gate).

We will meet at 9 am on Saturday. AWD vehicles can drive in to the lodge, others will carpool from inside the gate. Let us know If you have an AWD vehicle or need a lift from the gate.

Meals will be provided for volunteers (fees apply for non volunteers).
Comment in post if you have food allergies or restrictions.

A dorm is available with cots- bring a sleeping bag, or bring your tent. Hot showers available- bring a towel.
