Pamelia Lake And Hunts Cove Backpack
I have an overnight permit for Pamelia Lake in the Mt Jefferson Wilderness. Maximum 8 people.
Day 1 (Sunday) July 31:
We meet at The Pamelia Lake Trailhead and hike up the trail #3439 about 2.5 mi 800 ft elevation. We are going to camp on the north end of the lake. Right near the shore with amazing views !
After Lunch, we are going to hike Grizzly Peak trail #3428 to first cliff side view point where we will see Mt Jefferson and Pamelia Lake about 5-6 mi round trip and 1400 ft – 1900 ft elevation
Day 2 (Monday) August 1
We are going to hike Hunts Cove Trail #3440 from the Pamelia Lake to Hanks Lake and Hunts Lake.
Total distance: 7 – 8 miles round trip
Elevation gained: 1500 ft
day 3 August 2 after Breakfast, we pack our tent and head down to the trailhead
Trails Club members are free! No member $2 per day
NW Forest Pass is needed!
It is recommended passengers contribute .10 cents/mile for fuel if you would like to carpool
