Symbiop/Ant Farm Service Day at Camp Namanu

Come build relationships with the land and people that steward it!

This is our first event in a series of work parties and socials hosted by Camp Namanu Summer Camp, Symbiop, Antfarm, and Willow Herb Land Stewardship & Monitoring! Camp Namanu was built on the site of a Wascopem city-state of the same name; this Work Party & Social series marks the beginning of Camp Namanu and its community partners’ commitment to stewarding the land in a way that conforms to the desires of the Wascopem Eldership.

For the first half of this event, we will be doing trail maintenance between two areas selected for our native seed garden and saw mill projects, and clearing those project areas on our RANCH PROPERTY! Training, tools, and guidance will be provided. For the second half of the event, we will be sharing food, company, and maybe some dancing to the tunes of For The Living Earth and Biddy on the Bench. There will be cider pressing, hot spiced ciders, stews, and desserts to enjoy. Feel free to bring a\ dish or pie or share your harvest!
