Tyee Open for Holiday Weekend

Many of us have time off at the holiday and July is a great time to visit the lodge.

Tyee is open to members and their guests for day or overnight use 3 July at 7PM through 7 July at noon.

Below is a flexible weekend plan. If you want to host a meal, hike, craft, or other activity please send a message so I can update the list.

July 4th – Potluck BBQ at noonish – bring what you want to grill or eat to celebrate the holiday. Evening – Hike up to Timberline to watch fireworks. Hike down West Leg.

July 5 – Hike to Upper Twin for a day at the lake. Intrepid hikers can follow the yellowjacket trail off of the West Leg and others can drive to Frog Lake and hike in on the more demure trail. Either way lunch and swimming at Upper Twin.

July 6 – Hike to Split Rock on the Timberline Trail (if the snow allows) Intrepid hikers can start at the lodge and more demure hikers can carpool to the Timberline Lodge Parking Lot.  Another option is a Ramona Falls with Hikers choosing to either go A to B from Timberline to Ramona Falls or hike only from the Ramona Falls Trailhead and back.

Afternoons are for craft projects (I’m bringing several craft kits), reading, games, and baking. If you have a hammock bring it for a nap in the trees.
