Yearly Solstice Hike, Maybe Triple Crown

Enjoy the long light of evening on our annual Solstice Hike. If the Wildwood Trail is repaired between Council Crest and Hwy 26, we’ll be able to hit the 3 crowns: Council Crest, Hoyt Arboretum, Pittock Mansion. If not, we will make 2 of them and add an extension to total about 9 miles. Meet at Wallace Park between NW 25th and 26th on Raleigh. We start at 6 PM sharp and hike until 9 PM-ish in Forest Park and the West Hills. Arrive before 6:00 to find parking, sign in and pay the $2 hike fee (if not a TCO member). Carry water, a light source and dress for variable weather. We hike about 9 miles in 3 or so hours, with some significant uphill stretches. Please check on the TCO website to make sure we haven’t cancelled.
